14 August 2017 – Institute of Nano Electronic Engineering (INEE), School of Microelectronic Engineering and jointly organized by IEEE Malaysia Section Sensors and Nanotechnology Joint Councils Chapter has been successfully organized a one day Workshop on the Advances in Biodetections and Biosensor located at Auditorium, Library Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra, Pauh Putra, Campus UniMAP.
This workshop was officially officiating by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation) Prof Dr. Uda Hashim with overall 53 numbers of participants. Basically, the target audiences are open to all UniMAP researchers, students and most welcome from other institution as well.
The objectives of this event are to introduce the bio detection method, application of biosensors, the development of advanced biosensors and its marketability for the potential consumer. This workshop is the one of the main platforms to gather the expertise from local and international in order to share their knowledge, experience and research activities from various kinds of biosensor methods and applications. Perhaps from this event, they will suggest the possibility the potential direction of biosensor development for the next becoming years. This event was successfully managed gathers four highly experience speaker from various local and international institutions and they are Associate Prof. Dr. Bohuslav Rezek (Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Czech Technical University), Prof. Dr. Lee Yook Heng (School of Chemical Sciences and Food Technology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia), Dr. Asilah Ahmad Tajudin (Fakulti Bioteknologi & Sains Biomolekul, Universiti Pertanian Malaysia) and Dr. Rezal Khairi Ahmad (CEO, NanoMalaysia Berhad). Finally, from this workshop, UniMAP was also targeted to strengthen the collaboration between researchers and the speakers.
